Marcel Duchamp

Duchamp does an excellent job of using different techniques when it comes to creating a feeling of motion. Here, the bodies are cropped, repeated, and overlapped to make it seem like the man is walking down the stairs. Our eyes immediately follow him, in a downward motion. Very beautiful piece.
