Andy Warhol: Multiple Marilyns
Andy Warhol was renown for his use of vibrant color throughout his painting and print work. In this image titled Multiple Marilyns the artist utilizes colors in a variety of ways, which allows each of the repeated images to evoke different feelings from the viewer. Warhol employs contrasting colors, a balance of warm and cool colors, intensity, tint and shade throughout this piece. Although this work is composed of the same repeated image, in my opinion it is still incredibly interesting and enjoyable to look at because of the broad use of color which give each of the squares an entirely unique feel.
