In this image a visitor picks up a piece of licorice candy from the installation "America." Felix Gonzales-Torres is a Cuban born artist who's series of installations made from candies that the viewers are meant to take with them. As the supply of candy diminishes the exhibitors replenish them to their original shape. In this sense the public is asked to participate in the work of art and even bring part of it with them.
