Tara Donovon
This piece, an installation made from styrofoam, captured my attention. Donovan's use of space and her ability to transform a material often seen as destructive and inflexible into a flowing installation with a wave-like, natural quality is stunning. I saw this as relating to our current area of study because Donovon uses styrofoam cups, form that may seem to have little meaning, and derive art and concept from the material.
