Tim Hawkinson: Fruit
I couldn't help but stare at this piece while simultaneously wanting to look away. I found it incredibly unsettling and fascinating at the same time. It takes images we're all familiar with and places them in such a way that causes the viewer to feel awkward, disturbed, or any number of other negative emotions. I think it's a good example of how planning can help the artist to be successful in creating a work that conveys their message or causes the desired response.
