At first glance, this amazing photograph by Olivio Barbieri appears to be a recreation or model as opposed to an aerial view of Rome. As a result, this provides the viewer with a fresh perspective and creates a transfixing photograph. Barbieri has also photographed some extraordinary views such as Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles, which appears to be a contrived model. These photographs are particularly remarkable, because Barbieri photographs using a tilt shift lens which enables him to narrow in on his area of interest.
