This work (in Providence) by Jenny Holzer is one in a series of projections that were put up in cities around the world. All of the works involved projecting some personal thought onto the cityscape. Though I think this concept is evocative, and some of the works' ideas interesting, this particular projection is not particularly impressive to me. It seems to assume that the thought projected is some universally held belief that no one wants to admit. I don't think it is. Thus, the work misses the mark with me as I see it trying to reveal a hidden part of the individual consciousness and failing.
