At first glance, these photographs by Olivio Barbieri look like photographs of fake models created by the artist. Upon further reading adnd inspection I discovered that these images are aerial photographs. I really appreciated the way that the photographs make these places seem so small because it emphasizes the basic shapes that make up everyday objects, small and large. The photos make our world seem so small and insignificant compared to the size of the earth as a whole. I also appreciate the lenghts that the photographer went to to get the shots.
