This piece by Miro shows high levels of emotion through shapes and texture. To me, this piece seems angry and chaotic. The shapes, although not explicitly alive, seem like creatures traveling in an unknown space. Miro's use of bright colors highlights what look like eyeballs further enhancing the idea of creatures moving about the space. His strategic use of curved lines give the pieve a sense of movement. The contrast between the dark black shapes and the bright ones is striking, but I enjoy the background of the piece which, because of the amount of light marking, is not strictly negative space. It reminds me of the night sky.
