Charles Ray's Family Romance depicts a family- a father, mother, son and baby daughter. However, every member of the family is the same height (135 cm). The effect is that the parents are dwarfed by their children who look like looming monsters. Even the faces of the children look quite grotesque. The children look like the ones in control of the family due to the distortion of their size and scale.
