This sculpture, created by Maya Lin, presents a new way to look at geography. The artist uses a single material to recreate a natural landscape. Through the use of tactile texture in an almost grid like pattern, the work is given dimensionality. I like this sculpture because of its simple yet realistic shape. Because of the pattern, I want to reach out and touch it.
