Mark Bedford lives in Los Angeles where he uses material from the streets to create wall-sized collages. Bedford's pieces are made from layered paper that he designs to represent the streets of the city as well as crowds of people. Though Bedford's design is not a naturalistic representation of a city, he makes use of texture to give his audience the visual feel of a crowded downtown. The multiple layers give the viewer a 3D effect and give the art work a complexity that makes it very intriguing to the audience. .
