Joan Miro- "The Singing Fish"

At first glance, Joan Miro's painting "The Singing Fish" doesn't look like anything in particular, except for a bunch of brightly colored shapes thrown together. Then, once the viewer sees the title, the fish, with its large red eye and green and blue body, appears. Without the description, these shapes could be interpreted as a variety of things, which makes it all the more interesting and points out the importance of titles in analysis of art.
