S : Tim Noble and Sue Webster

The positive space in Tim Noble's and Sue Webster's image, S, is the giant money sign that is lit up with light bulbs. The negative space is the wooden floor and the grey wall. I particularly liked this piece because on the wall you can see the light that the bulbs cast upward, which follow the curve of the shape and in the floor you can see the reflection of the light bulbs, which all together make the image seem brighter and make the giant symbol pop out more from the background. Also, there is rigid repetition of the shape and brightness of the light bulbs within the money sign.
