Visual Unity
This piece by Bernd and Hilla Becher is an example of varied repetition. The repeating water towers are placed in a grid system but variation is present in the piece also because each water tower is slightly different in build and design. I like this piece because despite the slight variations in design, we can immediately identify each for what it is because the shape of the water tower is such an iconic symbol.
