One Million Finnish Passports
The Silence of Nduwayezu
While these two works are visually different (the first being very structured in its design, the bottom more chaotic, for example) they conceptually strongly tied. In both, Jaar is protesting the treatment of huge amounts of people and uses objects to represent those victims. (The first is a comment on Finland's strict immigration policies, the second part of his Rwanda project.)
I find both of the works extremely powerful and creative approaches to the issues presented.
