Bechers


This is another photograph of water towers.  However, these towers differ in structure; they all have globe-like tops and cylindrical bases.  The curved tops and the cylindrical bases of each water tower provide a good example of repetition to create visual unity.  In addition, Berch uses the grid like style to show the similarities of the water towers.  

Visually, I really like the black and white.  That combined with the grid gives the whole piece a really structured and rigid feel. Also, it makes the water towers feel very industrial since there is no presence of life near them. They are just stuck in the middle of nowhere.
