This sculpture, entitled "Born", was created by Kiki Smith. the sculpture is made of bronze and uses organic lines to reflect the theme of nature in the piece. The realistic animal, the idealized woman, the organic lines, the medium and the natural theme all mesh seamlessly in this piece. Because of this, the work is very appealing to me regardless of its strangeness.
