This painting, entitled "Composition with Red Blue Yellow", is one of a series created by Piet Mondrian. He used exclusively rectilinear lines to create this series of paintings. I enjoy Mondrian's work because it does not ask to be analyzed. Also, the painting seems to continue off the edges of the painting, insinuating that this is only a piece of a larger painting. the fact that only stright lines and primary colors are used makes the piece very relaxing. It can be enjoyed at face value while it is more artistic than many other simple paintings.
