Conceptual Unity: Janine Antoni
This image, created by Janine Antoni, employs visual unity effectively to suggest conceptual unity. She uses the same template for three images that, together, touch on the changing concepts of love and family structure. The middle image is what is most commonly acceptable to or accepted by the eye. As the eye strays from this image, however, so to do practices from the norm. The composition of the three images, then, is key to the effect because one naturally focuses on the center image first and then move outward. This work delivers a fantastic message about the changing nature of family structures!
