Joan Miro

This is a print from the Spanish artist Joan Miro. He is depicting a frustrated cat chasing an elusive bird by using vibrant colors and several geometric shapes. Circles and triangles are the most dominant. I like this a lot because at first I wasn't sure what I was looking at, but after I knew what to look for (a cat on its hind legs trying to snap a bird) it became really fun to look at. Miro's work can be described as playful and humorous, and that's what this is for me.
