This sculpture by Kiki Smith is an excellent example of the use of organic shapes. Smith uses rounded edges, the human form, and earth tones to evoke an organic energy in her work. By using curves and curvilinear lines, as opposed to angles and rectilinear lines, Smith once again is able to produce an organic looking sculpture.
