This photograph is by Bernd and Hilla Becher taken of a blast furnace called Neuves Maisons in Lorraine, France in 1971. To me it displays great visual unity in the repetition of the circular windows, and arched doors. In addition the roofs of the foreground structures are mirrored in the smaller roofs among the three taller towers in the background. Lastly the three steam pipes in the far back echo the three towers. Therefore the Becher's accomplish visual unity in their composition by repetition of shape and form, echoed structures, and the grouping of structures in 3's.
