Visual Unity: Frank Breuer
Here, Frank Breuer photographs several brightly colored, stacked shipping containers. Visual unity is achieved primarily through proximity: though radically different in color and somewhat different in level of beaten-up-ness, the fact that they are all stacked right next to each other brings them together, almost making them one object. Repetition is also present: the containers are all of the same material, constructed in the same dimensions.
