Nancy Spero

This image is interesting because Spero uses very curvilinear shapes that appear natural and flowing.  The lines suggest the shape without exactly defining it and the change in line quality helps to suggest a three dimentional shape.  I like how the parts of the body that would require the most detail, such as the feet or the face, are left off.  This allows Spero to keep the image free-flowing.  In the case of the face, it is replaced with many heads that seem to come of the general area of the face.  All of the heads suggest a face with a tongue and hair, but do not have detailed expressions.  This also relates to how free the image feels.
