Tim Noble and Sue Webster- "Dirty White Trash (With Gulls)"
I think this is a wonderfully clever use of positive and negative space. Noble and Webster have used a pile of trash to create the silhouette of the couple's lounging forms. Without the spotlight, the positive space would appear to be a refuse heap with indistinguishable form. However, with the aid of the light, the negative space of the shadow reveals itself to be the true subject of the work. Rather than a non-objective piece, this turns out to be a depiction full of surprising and humorous double-meaning.
